Code of Conduct
ROFC would like to remind all players, coaches, administrators, parents, spectators and volunteers to abide by competition rules and the spirit of participation. This Code of Conduct is made available on ROFC website and all are encouraged to follow the Code.
The Code aligns with ROFC values and mission: professional, inclusive and fair.
• All players are to comply with ROFC, FFA, FT and NTJSA laws, rules, guidelines and policies;
• At all times behave in a manner that promotes and upholds the highest standards of integrity, dignity and professionalism
• Maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive sporting environment during training, games and online, including social media;
• Respect referees’ and officials’ decisions, even if you do not agree with the decision. Complain or compliment through the correct channels;
• Create a strong team culture through positive language, behaviour and approach to training, to games and to other ROFC members including face-to-face and virtually (online and phone);
• Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all people involved in the game regardless of their ability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity or cultural background;
• A member, player or official will be taken as having brought football into disrepute if any of the following occurs:
- Use of provocative or insulting gestures, offensive language or chanting;
- Discriminatory behaviour, including public disparagement of, discrimination against, or vilification of, a person on account of an attribute;
- Harassment, including sexual harassment or any unwelcome sexual conduct which makes a person feel offended, humiliated and/or intimidated where that reaction is reasonable in the circumstances;
- Any other conduct, behaviour or statement that negatively impacts the reputation and goodwill of ROFC or football generally.
• Do not represent ROFC as a spokesperson or accept monies or donations on behalf on ROFC unless authorised to do so;
• Disagreements will be dealt with by way of ROFC Grievance Policy and Procedure (available on request)
• Breach of this Code may result in ROFC cancelling player registration (breach including by way of player’s family or supporters by association).
By completing both the parents and the players' names as an acknowledgement of your acceptance of the above.
